As aromatic C9 hydrocarbon resins, HIKOTACK® C9 Resins are pale yellow thermoplastic resins obtained from the copolymerization of aromatic olefin generated in the thermal-cracking process of naphtha. These products are mainly used as a processing aid for rubber compounding for tires and tubes. They are also used as EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) type hot melt adhesive (HMA), additives for ink products and paint, water repellent, concrete curing agent, and binder for asphalt.
